Today is Aaron's 30th Birthday.
We left Kasane this morning on route to the Okavango Delta. Our 2 night Excursion in the Delta.
We stayed last night in Kasane the same campsite we arrived and departed from in Chobe.
We had a sunset cruise last night, while it was something to do we only saw Birds, Hippos and Elephant. while that may sound exciting they are as common as bread an milk here.
We did however get a photo of a Hippo yawning which was another tick off the list.
only 2 more things are left on our list of things to see. A Kill (lion or Leopard kill) & Wild Dogs, almost as elusive as the leopard.

Today was an Early Start so that we didn't get in the heat of the day, Poling through the Delta on route to Camp.
We arrived at our Polers station today, we met our Poler 'Cheeks' that was his english name at least. Not sure why he was called cheeks. He should have been called Teeth. He was missing the two front ones.
Needless to say he was our age (my Age) and very cool, very informative and just a really cool guy, remembered our names.
We set off in the Mokoro (canoe) and within 10 minutes there was everyone out on the water pushing through reeds and streams. By chance we bumped into the Canoe carrying the Esky which we fully stocked the day before with beer, rum, gin and coke.

We asked the poler of that Mokoro if we could take a beer as it was Aaron's birthdays. He was more then happy for us to take them from his Canoe, we were the only one's who did so for the hour journey into the Okavango Delta.

We arrived in camp just after 10 am and had the rest of the day do rest until 5pm which we set off for an evening walk, where we spotted more hippo's from the ground and an another Elephant. Very different one foot. We had nothing between us other then the wilderness. A very cool experience though compared the the day before where we flew over the Okavango in a Aeroplane.

After an Eventful evening in Camp on Aaron's Birthday, lets just say the bottle of Rum 1 Bought was gone and I only had three drinks of it..
Aaron was in bed before everyone and were all confused about how to play cards.
The rest of the day and day to follow were very chilled so I will let the pictures tell the rest of our Time in the Okavango Delta.

Tomorrow we head to Palapye, the border of Botswana before we make our way into South Africa and the Kruger National park.
The last 5 days of our Overland Safari.
Sad but excited for what is next to some.
I hope we are now up to date.
