I have decided to skip the last two days as we were just on the road.

To cap those days off, we overnighted in Korongwe a small campsite on Day 10 we literally spent this whole day on the road.

The only exciting part of today was a lunch stop just out of the small town of Moshi. A town at the base of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s Highest mountain.

We were fortunate enough to get a couple of great photo’s and some of the clouds had lifted to give us a small window to see the snow cap at the top.

4am start on Day 11, meant we slept on the truck all the way to Dar Es Salam, the Capital of Tanzania.

We arrived at camp 7 hours later, for some it was camping and for us it was a $7 per person upgrade to have a bed and pillow in a beach shack with power points and a mosquito net. For $14 between us, this was a no brainer and boy what a sleep it was.

On to DAY 12-15.

These days were purely RNR, Zanzibar the Island Nation off Tanzania.

Aaron’s 3rd card was that we were staying at an All Inclusive Resort, all food, drinks, cocktails & water activities.

Neptune Pwani Resort and Spa, here we separated from the group and it was 3 nights of Relaxing by the pool, hot showers lots of Food and decent nights sleep with no early starts.

We spent the afternoon catching up on the WIFI couple of Cold beers and a little bit of pool time.

Dinner was great 3 course Italian. We headed up the bar afterward and got to know a couple of the bar tenders they all seemed like great guys.

The morning after Aaron joined the toilet club, wasn’t just me anymore.

Aaron spent most of today by the toilet, we think it might have had something to do with the Seafood he ate but also could have been the Ice in our drinks. I didn’t seem to be affected so it was hard to narrow it down.

It passed thankfully by the next day.

We dragged out a Kayak the next day, Aaron had waiting for a fish until now, I just went for the paddle.

It didn’t seem to last long, seemed there was more snags the then were fish.

We were back on shore within 30 minutes which I was absolutely fine with, besides the bar was missing me as was the pool.

It was a good couple of hours by the pool until the rain came, fast and heavy and while some people were washed out, we were already wet so we stayed even longer.

Time for a hot shower and hot dinner in the Thai Restaurant.

We had to book the day before, which we didn’t also we were supposed to order our dinner the off the menu the day before. It is like they need a whole day to prepare your dinner.

Couple of drinks at both the bars and to farewell our bar tenders Hassan and Moses, they have been great over the last few days.

They even wanted to get a couple of photo’s with us, they really made our experience great.

Not much of an early start today we ate breakfast at 9 and finished packing our bags with all of our washed clothes for the next leg of the trip. Couple of coffee’s and Spanish omelette for Breakfast and we were off. Back to the ferry terminal to meet up with the remaining left in the group.

We loose Stu today and Sam & Lou tomorrow.

Zanzibar has been as expected, shame the weather wasn’t constantly great but we were glad to get a few hours of sun but the pool.

Today is back to Dar Es Salam, and I think we will be going for the Room upgrade here again as its back at the same place as before.

Tomorrow, we move on to Iringa and then our next country, Malawi.
