Well this will be the last blog for what we expect will be for about 3-4 days but don't worry, you will have plenty to read up on when we do. Today was a great day. Lots of sleep we had a 6 'bed' dorm tent to ourselves, which was great, and they were in single bunk beds not mattresses or foam rollers.

First up this morning we were collected by George our local guide hilarious guys he was asking about family and marriage of us both, Aaron said yes I said no.

He said oh we should find you a Kenyan lady, and I said oh sure let's do that! *awkward.

We headed for the giraffe Centre established in 1979 with two giraffes. Now they have 11 but have had about 23 come through the program over the last 36 years.

We got to spend about an hour here feeding the giraffes with pellets more of a snack for them then a meal to keep them interested. Being that we got there first, they were very intuitive and interested in us. The keepers told us to put the pellets in our mouths and let the giraffes tongue take it from our lips. At first I was like no sorry. But, George went on to explain that the saliva was antiseptic because it eats acacia trees which have antiseptic qualities.

Still sceptical I saw others do it and gave it a few tries it was hilariously gross.

We got great pics here as you can see and before long we were off to the elephant orphanage.

It was a sad place to see baby elephants without their mothers for numerous reasons. Most unfortunately left behind due to poachers killing their mothers, others had fallen down water wells. Others abandoned by their groups for numerous considerable reasons. They were all very playful and adorable.

Each with their personality, the youngest of the group, was 'Wamba' 3 months old and just wanted to lay down and roll in the dirt, and we'll do his best to push people. We had about 21 elephants come down in 2 groups and all covered in mud to keep the insects off them. It was a great day here which we only needed a few hours to take a couple of hundred photos.

We met the group for the tour today. What a bunch of Aussies. Haha three brothers from Adelaide. 2 sisters from Wagga & Canberra. A couple from Wollongong (might I add who have booked in my office before with one of my consultants). A British couple and friends and a kiwi girl. We joined an already existing group, so as nine left, we were 12 joining. Some were going as far as Dar Es Salam.

Some Victoria falls. Others onto Cape town and us and five others onto Johannesburg. We will have others join us in Zanzibar as others leave also. So all in all a right mix. We hit the road at 8 am tomorrow onto Arusha where we will spend the night before taking smaller vehicles into Ngorongoro Crater. We will be out of the Internet for a while we suspect. Not a bad thing but we will keep track of our paces, and there will be an ally to read up on the next chance we get to post
