We often hear about things like Bali belly or Delhi belly, I'm here to tell you they do exist.

That was to be our shortest night of sleep in the last five days, excluding the Shell Cove Symphony Orchestra. Before I even got to bed, I had a one on one date with the toilet.

It's like an awkward date that you don't know which way it's going to go! Wasn't sure if it was coming up or going out. All I know is that it had its moments of good and evil. Mostly evil and not a wink of sleep. Hopefully that kept it PG enough.

My worst fear is being on a plane toilet for hours on end, not to mention we have a 180* flatbed and spend the whole time sitting up would be the worst. It was time to pull out the big guns and dive into our medical kit, bigger then my toiletries bag for those who know what size I am talking about We have everything from stoppers to goers and everything in between—popped two of the pain reliefs.

Enroute to the Airport, I was not going to let this ruin our first business class flight. Especially knowing that it was a Boeing 777 and they were beautiful big flatbeds. After we arrived, checked in, cleared customs and security, it was off the lounge to chill out and try hard to calm my stomach down.

Seemed to work with a Berocca and bottled water. Weird to think that even opening your mouth In the shower can get you sick.

Time to board, I could not wait to get onto the plane and lay down to sleep. Headed through the boarding gate and all of a sudden we both get red lights and beeps. I want to say that scared the shit out of me, but there couldn't possibly be anything left. Instead, it was a new seat assignment. Now I know seat numbers on a plane, and I know more so that row 1 is not the pilots seat.

BAM - upgraded to First class, both Aaron and I was shocked. Just a simple remark in our booking known as CIP (commercially important passenger) informed gate staff that if the airline should overbook we were more inclined to be upgraded for useful purpose and it worked. Not only now did we have a flatbed, but we each got a suite with sliding doors and a food and beverage manager to assist us with wine and food choices at any time.

Unfortunately given the hour of the day and the way I was feeling it was only sleeping for me, Aaron spent the first hour playing with buttons and the inbuilt massage chair. With a fast connection and a 5-hour flight into Nairobi, we arrived at our campsite around 2 pm nearly 12 hours later. Tomorrow hopefully is a new day and better stomach and a decent nights sleep. We meet the tour leader tomorrow and then lay out the departure details the next day for the Ngorogoro crater and the Big 5 On a day to remember, I hope that it's behind me now.

-End
