Agra Fort This will be a short posting.
As we needed a little bit of down time so can't really write much about doing nothing cause that's not exciting.

This was known as the royal palace throughout the 1400-1600 hundreds. It was also home to Shan Jahan and also his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Agra fort was also the place where Shan Jahan died, and his eldest son who was predecessor, took over rule of the fort after Shan Jahan was buried alongside Mumtaz mahal against his will.

Shan Jahan had intentions to build the Black Taj opposite the Taj Mahal on the northern side of the river Yamuna. His son in his arrogance defying these wishes and buried Shan Jahan in the Taj mahal. Shan Jahan's casket within the Taj mahal complex and gardens is the only thing that is not symmetrical in the 52Ha around the Taj.
The palace in size is huge and over looks the Taj mahal in the distance across the river. We spent about another hour here looking around the grounds and photographing some of the architecture before returning to poolside at the hotel for an afternoon of nothing followed by a massage and dinner.

We drive back to Delhi tomorrow for a tour of the Old section of Delhi, one of the oldest cities in the world, before Aaron gets card number 2 'The Big One'. Then it's an early night and all will be revealed as to why on day 4 we start before 04:00.
